You see them all of the time, at sporting events, college campuses, and shopping malls. Tables and displays set up in high traffic areas pushing credit cards and promising instant rewards of gift certificates and team T-shirts. The credit card companies know what they're doing–they have great success when pushing cards onto people that probably don't know what they're getting into. And the salespeople get a commission from every card they dole out.

Have you used your Visa, MasterCard, or Diners Club credit/debit/ATM card overseas during the period of 1996-2006? If you did you were hit with a surcharge (1%-3%) just for the 'privilege' of being able to use your card internationally. Well, some folks didn't think that was right and sued the credit card companies responsible…and they won! So now it's time to claim your small portion of the $336 million settlement.

Sorry for the downtime folks, been off traveling around the world for my main line of work (web & graphic design)…and a little bit of fun, of course. As a result I haven't had much time to put into this site. But have no fear–I'm back and will be sure to devote a good chunk of time here. After all, this is the only site of it's kind that I know of and I want to make sure it gets off the ground!
Also, don't be surprised if the large gaps between previous posts are suddenly filled–I might just pre-date a few posts to fill the empty space.
