Along with the very generous 15-month 0% APR rate on all balance transfers, every purchase you make with your Kiva card entitles you to 1% cash back reward. Although that is very vanilla, the real difference with this card is that they give you 5% back on all of your charitable contributions via the card (up to $1,200/year) and will match your contributions, dollar-for-dollar to the Kiva micro-loan program (up to $200/month in matching funds).

If you haven"t heard the buzz about micro-loans lately, they are small amounts of money doled out to poor people trying to start their own businesses in third-world countries. These loans are made at favorable rates and payback-terms and allow the individual a chance to improve the lives of themselves and their families.
