Yes, these are for the most part upper-class hotels and as such this card would not benefit the budget 'Motel 6' traveler a great deal. This is definitely a less expensive (in terms of yearly fees; $30 vs. $55-85+/year with AA, NWA, Delta, etc.) and possibly more worthwhile option in place of airline miles credit cards. The best part is that your points can be converted into airline miles if you so choose, and usually at a rate of 1:1 (list of participating airlines as well as other reward options). Remember, it is NOT necessary to own your own business in order to apply for business credit cards—just enter your own name in the business name field.
